UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- On too many nights this season, calm, cool and collected customer Vesa Toskala has been forced to bail out his teammates. Last night, the Maple Leafs returned the favour, helping their goalie overcome one of the most embarrassing moments of the NHL season. Third-period goals by Kyle Wellwood, Pavel Kubina and Alexei Ponikarovsky helped keep the Maple Leafs' faint playoff hopes alive with a come-from-behind 3-1 win over the host New York Islanders. |
